package fglrx-updates (not installed) failed to install/upgrade:
subprocess installed post-removal script returned error exit status 1
Public bug reported:
removing residual config file resulted in error. I think it originates
from a failed install of "fglrx post release updates" intially. The
fglrx driver is installed though.

Wicd network manager was causing my shutdown/restart problemI went
back to the gnome network manager and the problem ceased.

Removing "splash' from the boot options in grub solved it for me. I did
nothing else but that. Wish they would fix this. I'm using Xubuntu
x64.
