Still an issue, can start and stop fine first time after boot, but then
after next start I cant stop the backend.

In Kubuntu Jaunty (updated as of 10th March 2009) mythbackend will start
up fine then close fine. But after starting the second time and then
trying to stop the backend it reports:
h...@hdtv:~$ sudo /etc/init.d/mythtv-backend stop

Ok I installed xserver-xorg-input-synaptics and everything works fine.
So obviously that package was forgotton as you said. Please include in
next alpha.

I have a HP Paviion and its touchpad does not work as of Juanty alpha 4
and have also updated today (24th Feb) and still not working. proc

I also have the same problem on my HP Pavilion laptop. Alpha 4 worked
fine, but updates as of 21st Feb have broken Knetworkmanager. Can start
it but cant connect to any wireless network.

Using hardy on x64 and screen resolution is detected fine using nv (1360
x 768) so at least is good. BUT when I install nvidia driver I can only
get 600x800 resolution, but the driver is working properly with 3d
acceleration. My screen is described
No cause I just compiled it (latest postgis) with postgresql and the
stable geos - but yes geos 3 would be very useful. I just want postgis
to be 'officially' included as it is a production GIS server.

yes /var was on its own LVM (it was the only LVM on the machine on its
own LVM group) and formatted as JFS.

LAMP, but I will repeat the install process exactly for Alpha 5 and see

During installation I used LVM for /var and select LAMP server install
option. Install worked (all partitions and filesystems created) but
apache and MySQL did not create any necessary directories in /var such
as /var/www.
I replicated this issue twice using various LVM volu
