I am getting this problem as well I have a /etc/gdm.conf-custom, i have backed that up to /etc/gdm.conf-custom-bck (using sudo mv /etc/gdm.conf- custom /etc/gdm.conf-custom-bck), when launching gdmsetup gdm.conf- custom gets recreated, still segfaulting though. I have included a strace of gdmsetup
