In k3b you can rip DVD's. There are two filetypes you can use: MPEG4
(FFMPEG) and XviD. The latter one works, the first NOT.

There is a simple workaround.
- Copy /usr/share/applications/thunderbird.desktop to
~/.local/share/applications
- Edit thunderbird.desktop
- Change the MimeType option to:
"MimeType=text/*;application/*;image/*;audio/*;video/*;x-scheme-handler/mailto;"
(without quotes)
This will make Thunderbi
It's very odd this bug hasn't resolved yet permantly. I have to agree
with Cicoandcico, Drag & Drop is a key elelement in every OS. Right now
it's not even possible to move a file with D&D from one Nautilus window
to another one, when both are maximized (what's the default behaviour).

There are two reasons I will not use Unity (yet):
1. I can't use my panel applets anymore.
2. I can't configure Unity. Especially the impossibility to resize the
icons is a big step back in time.
I won't use Unity until at least these two problems are resolved.

I can also confirm this (up to date Karmic). The signal is weak, but it
also disconnects after a while. Right now I can't even connect at all,
but that's maybe related to the fact taht the network is not starting on
boot after the last updates: see

I can confirm this on a Asus Eee PC 1101HA. After the system is
suspended, the power button is blinking (like it should), but when I
push shortly the power button, the button stops blinking (like it
should), but the screen remains black. It seems it's indeed frozen,

@Julián Alarcón: Great that works. I use now 3.5 RC2 from PPA and when I put:
export LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libGL.so.1
to /usr/lib/firefox-3.5/firefox.sh (after DROPPED=abandoned) it works.
But why? When I check /usr/lib/libGL.so.1 I see it's a symlink to
/usr/lib/libGL.so.180.44 - and that's the sa
