However, whilst booted I just whacked the DVD drive in and am now
listening to a CD on it fine. So it certainly works.
Also, this issue only started once I starting using 20.04. It never

OK, so last night I shut down, inserted the DVD drive and then switched
on again. Then I left it overnight. Was still stuck in the morning.
Then I powered off using Alt+Fn+PrtSc, s, u, o, took the drive out and
powered on again. It still got stuck. But then rebooted with
Alt+Fn+PrtSc, s, u, b,
OK, attached.

Whenever I power down, upon next boot the system just hangs with Ubuntu
at the bottom of the screen and the circle above going around and around
forever.
It happens nearly every ime I power down, but not every single time.
Rebooting rather that powering down works quite often
It occurred to me as I was filing this that perhaps I should've searched
existing bugs for "failed to unmount /cdrom" - none of these sound the
same, but perhaps related?

I had this issue too. Installed Brasero but it wouldn't burn anything,
but doing:
sudo chmod +s $(which wodim)
Fixed it for me too.

A related problem is that some of the default folders under 'Computer'
i.e. Music, Pictures, Videos don't appear on the left when browsing for
files via the browser, see attached screenshot for what I mean.

Why has this been marked Invalid? It's regression, no? You could always

It is very easy to replicate:
1. Open geedit from Unity
2. Open a text file by double clicking on it in file manager
3. Note that the text file has not opened in the gedit instance opened from

I also find it to be very annoying that a new instance of gedit is
opened whenever I open another file by double clicking or right clicking
on it. I want all text files to open in the same instance.

without blueman I don't seem to be able to pair at all.
