Yep, that worked. Funny, it's not in Synaptic, even after installation.

Thanks for the link and the instructions, but I'd rather wait until it's
in the repositories. Someone above said it's in intrepid-updates, but I
don't see it.

I'm sure it's user error, but I don't see nvidia-glx-180 in the
repositories. There was an nvidia update today, but it was only to
177.82. Perhaps because I have a Quadro NVS 110M instead of an actual
GeForce?

I would also like to mention that even though the workaround works for
me, when I hot dock my Dell D620, the keyboard rate gets reset to the
previous default (slow repeat for me). Rebooting fixes it, but who
wants to reboot to fix a keyboard repeat? Hot docking resets the repeat
rate even though
For completeness, the fix works on my 755p too! Thanks all--what an
excellent demonstration of the power of open source software!

To the powers that be: please, please mark this as very important! For
those of us for whom turning off hal doesn't work, we're completely
unable to sync with no workaround!
I'm monitoring this bug and I would fall all over myself to provide the
developers more information if necessary.

Also cannot sync my Palm Treo 755p. This worked flawlessly with the USB

I get absolutely no response whatsoever from the gnome-pilot applet.

I should note that if you add this flag, restart X, change your keyboard
settings, remove the flag, and restart X again, the keyboard settings
are maintained (though you have to add the flag again to adjust them
again). So at least you can keep the evdev driver and have proper
repeat timing. Just
Discovered that "xinput list" is a lot smaller than it was before this
workaround. But the only issue I've seen thus far is the loss of the
horizontal scroll on my mouse. I think this workaround defeats some of
the new hal/fdi stuff in Intrepid (but maybe that's a good thing?).

I also have this bug on an Nvidia Quadro NVS 110m video card. I believe
this is equivalent to a GeForce 7300, but I'm not perfectly sure, so I
thought I'd add the information. I saw this with both Nvidia drivers
