The problem is gone on the fourth try. I used custom setup of
partitions. I did not format my home partition on the first three
attempts. I believe there was something related to network setup that
messed up the initial login. Maybe a reference to an old active
directory authentication?

1. Tried direct install - install went OK. After reboot i get error message
"Could not start kstartupconfig. Check your installation". Clicking OK in
dialog -> Screen becomes cluttered with colous, letters and symbols.
You have to open a terminal and then do:
sudo apt-get update
And then:
Sudo apt-get upgrade

Problem solved. Switched from Norwegian to main repository. Update and
upgrade. Everything OK. Problems with restricted drivers in Norwegian
repository
