I have got a Y530 too with hardware a little bit different : Intel P7530,
GeForce 9500M G and iwlagn for wifi.
The trick given above seems to work but the laptop awakes instantly.

Here is the dmesg.0. Actually it doesn't show any Kernel Panic but I'm sure
it's one, my led are going on
and off and the screen is all black.

GS card. I've got exactly the same bug than the others ones : dd and klogd

The command (sudo) echo 0 > /sys/class/rfkill/rfkill0/state didn't work, bash
tell me that he doesn't have the permission to do it. If I edit it with nano
and save it no error but cat /sys/class/rfkill/rfkill0/state still return me 2.

Thx for the answer, the lo network interface seems to work perfectly and
the ping respond too. This bug happen with other user as well as with my

I had exactly the same problem as you guys on a 2.6.17 kernel (edgy) and I've
tried to unload the ehci_hcd module.
That worked, but only with usb1.1 and not all the time...
