Just want to register my agreement with those who think this a major usability
issue.
While the right click - resize method is a work around, it is one that the
majority of users will never find. (I didn't until I read it here). It is also
slow and clumsy.

Still a bug in Karmic (I can remember it way back in 5.10)
Now the only initial option is equally obscure 61min, this has to be selected
in the drop list , then 70min appears , finally the complete list. Frustrating.
Gnomebaker otherwise works perfectly, unlike the awful Ubuntu default Brasero,

Not sure if this the same as bug #405544 - when I try and burn FLAC files to CD
a box comes up normalizing audio tracks.
30 minutes later and it's still there and CPU has gone to %100.
Shut down brasero but cpu still %100.

Tvtime, which outputs through analog, is affected.

Public bug reported:
The volume control on the panel does not work, so I installed Gnome ALSA mixer.
With this I was able to adjust sound volume (which was set to minimum and/or
muted for all devices) but after latest update (20-10-08) I have to go into
this and turn up volume after every reboot
Not sure if it is the same problem, but I cannot playback DVD movies unless
they are mounted BEFORE login.
If I insert a disk after login, xine reports unable to access disk / do not
have rights error.
If the disk is already in before login, playback works fine.

No - I can't guarantee it is not a hardware issue - I'm not that clued
up.
Just seemed strange it only happened in Nautilus.
Problem now seems to have disappeared - I thought because of update?
Perhaps this indicates that is was some kind of hardware issue?

Just noticed this today.
Not as bad as the fact it corrupts files when copying so I guess very unlikely
to be fixed

Is there something else I need to do?
At this point it seems to me that Nautilus definitely has some sort of bug.

Public bug reported:
Installed Ubuntu 8.10 i386 version.
After installation there is a wired network connection but internet doesn't
work (works fine in 7.10)
Gave up on 8.10 and installed 8.04 instead and all OK.
When I type in:
sudo dhclient
I get no connection, just the following:
SIOCSIFADDR
I have the same problem, I can "shutdown" but "logout" gives white screen with
small grey box in position where logon name is normally entered in login
manager.
What section do you put AlwaysRestartServer=true in?
