Hi all,
I've been working recently with the solution II) from my last post: hawran
wrote on 2008-09-15 (

I needed to put my DNS servers into a 'Network Location'
the very top within the file which goes like: 'don't edit
manually as it'll be changed by resolvconf' (or something like that).
So, I've upgraded to the last version of Ubuntu and it's UNUSABLE at the moment.
Should I just unistall it and forget Ubuntu?

Hi Greg,
Well, I can use your source list, no problem.
However, I've got a question regarding '... please attempt the dist-upgrade
again'. Are you suggesting that I should run 'apt-get dist-upgrade' from a
command line?
I don't upgrade using the command line, I use synaptic and it doesn't show
Hi Greg,
I'm sending my sources.list.
As for your second question, I started with the 7.04 version a year ago and
sometimes this year (it might be in February) I upgraded to 7.10. However, I've
done some successful updates since then, that was the reason I was surprised by
that error.

Hi Greg,
Please, see attached the tar.gz file of the files from the
/var/log/dist-upgrade/ directory.
I'm surprised a little bit as those files have 'date modified' sometime in
February...
