i have been running LXDE from a cli install on my Tatung / RM – RTABB12D using
both a genkernel and a custom built onefor quite some time now.
I suggest that you try to minimize any use of gnome libs as possible, use slim
instead of gdm, use Wicd for network as lxnw is too limited right now,aumix
ignore my last comment above , that fix is working for me now , thanks

I am using the ibex umpc image on my AOA150 using kernel 2.6.7-9-generic
, i get the OSD fine but get the ±±± symbols in text area, i just
used fn+right arrow to put ± in this comment :)
