There seem to be an issue with the auto installer script . While we take
a look at it can you try manually installing the hplip.
Here are the steps.
1 . Go inside the folder hplip-3.15.2. It should be created at the same
location where auto installer was run.
change directory to hplip-3.15.2
After installing libtool manually.. can you retry 'sh hplip-3.15.2.run'
and let us know if the installation proceeds without any issue.
After install, run command ' hp-setup' to configure the device .

You are using the hpijs drivers again which has certain issues with it and it
is getting deprecated.
Recommend you to use hpcups drivers.
Please launch the terminal and go to the directory hplip-3.12.2
(source folder) and run configuration
./configure - -prefix=/usr -
folder you will find files with name starting with hpcups
like, hpcupsfilterc_1.bmp, hpcupsfilterk_1. bmp, hpcups_jobX.out.
Please attach these files too.

hp-plugin command shows that you have installed the plug-in files already. Are
you getting plugin missing error ?
Can you try deleting the print queue created for this printer in
"system-config-printer": and use "hp-setup -g" command to setup your printer

Try setting fax-type = 4 in /usr/share/hplip/data/models.dat file in the
section [hp_laserjet_m1522nf_mfp] and try running command hp-setup to
setup the fax queue and check if this option is working for you.
