Ctrl+C works by initiating the resume action.
This bug left me in an unbootable state because of a syntax error in
xorg.conf. I was forced to use an external recovery live CD to recover.
The solution was to remove friendly-recovery. Now I have root prompt
with read-write privileges.

There is no such notice though on the front page of kubuntu, where the
packages for kde4.1.1 are advertised, that the packages are personal and
the kubuntu team does not even take bug reports.

I have not being able to use the extended characters on Greek keyboard,
despite having correct locale settings, and being able to use them
throughout the system, including the default 2.2 openoffice
installation. May be it's somehow related.
