the issue is sure removed when you deactivate desktop effects, but thats
exactly the issue. It does NOT work with desktop effects.
Well lets see how it behaves on 10.04 :)

Still persists in 9.10 (with latest updates) on HP printer/scanner.
A few weeks before it was working, now i added a second monitor to the same
nvidia card and enabled xinerama.
Please check why this issue happens it should have nothing to do with my second
display!

machine didnt boot up. mess with /mnt/hgfs or similar, introduced in fstab
through vmware tools

When printing a document in A4 the system tries to print it in Letter
format, which doenst match with the printer.
the document was setup to A4, the printer default properties are set to
A4, even the (network) printer settings on the print
Non-expert users have great difficulties with that.
I often select a file on a SMB windows share and drag it into thunderbird, it
shows the SMB path but it cant send the file.
On Evolution Mail client that works perfectly!
can somebody check whats the issue and how to solve it?

The package should be made for at least one reason, there are
dependencies (like java in ubuntu) which are not noted on the eclipse
installations page, but required for it to run properly.
Also users who are not experts with ubuntu (like me), are glad to have a
easy to use package manager.
