Just updated to the 8.10 release, still having this problem. Running on
a Thinkpad T61

Just did a network upgrade to the official release of 8.10, and had this
problem. Any of the directories from 'Places' opened with Totem. From
the desktop nautilus launched as normal. I was then able to change 'Open
With...' and luckily changing just one folder fixed them all.

To clarify I was not talking about alt-tab making a desktop switch to
the right. Rather it was graphical windows which is displayed, the one
showing an icon for each of your open windows. This is when compiz/beryl
stuff is turned off. For some reason this which, which is normally

Ran update manager within the last week or so, and vlc now seems to at
least launch and display. Havent really tested it for stability. I
believe its still the same version of vlc (0.8.6e) so not sure what was
changed

I'm having this same problem on an up to date Hardy 8.04.1 system.
Running pitivi 0.11.1 on an AMD64 system.
The timing of the program crashing isnt always consistent. Sometimes it will be
an instant crash bef

I believe I have this same issue happening. I only noticed it after
using Super-alt-tab, then using alt-tab appears offcentered on the
desktop. Never noticed it before initiating the Super-alt-tab combo.
