Please don't kill me if I was supposed to create a new bug report rather than update this one. This bug is still present in Ubuntu 15.10 (Wily Werewolf). My Ubuntu NFS client is working fine, apart from the fact that no idmapd is running. # pgrep idmap # # dpkg-query -W nfs-common nfs-common
