I upgraded the tracker-packages from "jaunty proposed". Reindexed all
(deleted ~/.cache/tracker before). No errors since 3 hours!

I've made an update to 8.10 (2.6.27-xx) and all works fine.
The last 2.6.24-21 kernel that came with 8.04 some weeks ago was the best I
had. So in my opinion hardy was good for LTS in october with the release of
8.10! But all of you do a good job

I use a SONY VGN-C2S: My Bluetooth-LED ist always on, but I also have a
WLAN-LED, which is not! WLAN works fine, but the LED will not work. This
behavior is new in Kernel 2.6.24-16 and 2.6.24-17 (=hardy) Both LEDs
work with kernel 2.6.22-14.

I have the same problem with kernel 2.6.24-16 on my Sony VGN-C2S. I removed the
"quiet" option and it boots. Thank you for your hint!
Another "small" bug:
The green WLAN-light beside the bluetooth does not work, but wlan itself works
fine. I can live with that, but with gutsy or with the kernel 2
