- this scanner isn't recognized after updating Xubuntu to 12.10

same machine and it still works fine on my laptop running the Ubuntu

I had assumed the missing tooltips were a bug. I can't believe y'all
did that on purpose. If it really is too late to fix it for 10.04,
please reconsider this madness for 10.10. This wasn't broken; now it
needs fixing.

I can't believe that they got rid of battery charge percentage in the
menu bar completely. Bad enough that I can't just hover over the icon
anymore to get the battery's status - now I have to click it in order to
get information that's less useful to me than the actual percentage was.
Tom Jaeger,
It's totally user unfriendly to make notify-osd non-configurable. I'd
call it "user hostile". It was tolerable (though distasteful as a
matter of principle) when the unchangeable location of the bubbles was
where I wanted them. Locked permanently to the middle of the screen on
the right side wit
I can second this bug with the build of Brasero 0.8.2 in Ubuntu 8.10
(amd64 version). VCD Imager is installed as are all other dependencies
and "suggested" packages.

Minor correction: CPU0 is in a functioning "ondemand" mode while CPU1

With Hardy Release Candidate and pm-utils 0.99.2-3ubuntu9 I am still

resuming from sleep or hibernate CPU0 is in "ondemand" mode as it should

Definitely experiencing the same profoundly irritating problem on a Dell
Inspiron 1420n that shipped with this bug and 32-bit 7.04 on it. It
exhibited the same symptoms under the 64-bit version of Feisty, and both
the 32 and 64-bit versions of Gutsy. Currently I am running 64-bit
Gutsy. There's
