High load when coping large file
I've retested with Kubuntu , 8.10 , all updates up to day.The load is
again high : top - 10:24:22 up 19 min, 1 user, load average: 6.07,
3.98, 1.93.
Although I got an usb 2.0 player in the meantime , I just want to make
sure that this does not also apply to the copy operation over

Yep,I've just retested.I am using Kubuntu 8.04, packages updated.The
issue seems to come from the kio_xxx suite of software.The speed
reported by them for the copy is high(20 MB/sec) followed by some
"stalled" periods.I can only assume that some sort of buffer is built
for the copy operation and it
