Ok, I ran it with the debug switch. That's opening vinagre, connecting
to the mac mini via a bookmark, copying a file on my local desktop,
having the VNC session freeze, and then closing the session via the X at
the top of the VNC window.
Here's the result of that:
chi..@bla...arl:~$ vinagre
Yes, Ubuntu to Ubuntu. I just did it now copying a few text files from
the desktop to a folder. It also happens when copying text in Firefox.
Perhaps it only happens when OS X is the remote computer?

By the way, that output is from running those commands just now. So
keep in mind that I currently am using and IDE to SATA converter for my

that matters)

Murray, thanks for asking. I ended up connecting my IDE CD ROM drive

I'm using Evince 0.5.2 and this certain file, nothing happens when I

prints any other PDF just fine. And this file prints fine on windows.

Hi Ben,
I believe I have the target system, but I may not be sophisticated
enough to get Edgy installed on it. I also won't be home until tommorow
night. If no better candidates come forward perhaps you could talk me
through getting Edgy installed? I don't know how to set up SSH for you
either
I made a wiki page to put all of the information about this issue in one place:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Core_2_Duo_Support
As you can see it's a pretty major issue. There are already 3 bugs and
at least 9 forum threads regarding this. Hopefully we can get this
fixed for Edgy.

BTW I'm confirming this too. (see my bug:

I also think this should be changed to critical. Everyone buying a P965

Another update. I tried installing the Edgy version, specifically this file:

And I got this message:

Is there an Ubuntu bug FAQ where I can find out kind of what happens

Also I'd like to make this critical status but I can't seem to change

Sorry a couple noob questions;
1. When you say backport, does that mean this fix will make it into

2. If so should I just download a new install CD and it will work?
