I have exactly the same problem with my medion akoya E1210 (wifi chipset
RT2860) ... Works perfectly in infrastructure mode (AP) and unable to
join / create adhoc network ...

Exactly same problem for me...
throtteling works, acpi looks ok. But, no cpufreq module and the cpu is
locked to max frequency (energy loss ...)
