Public bug reported:
Hi,
I encounter huge xruns with pd connected to jack (RT mode). I solved
that by installing gutsy RT kernel on my hardy ubuntu studio. It works
fine but I lost the wifi on the gutsy kernel. An idea ?
** Affects: ubuntustudio-meta (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
I don't know, I had too many issues with 2.6.24-16 RT and 2.6.24-15
kernels, so I went back to Gutsy...

Hi,
I managed to have my midisport correctly run by Gutsy, with automatic
detection and firmware loading. I updated on hardy, since then the
midibox doesnt start. No firmware loading. It loads manually, but udev
seems to not catch it.

Hello
On my side the problem vanished. Can't tell you why ! What I can do is
that I changed my tsst corp dvd writer to a LG. But I don't think it is
the reason, because this hardware change was not synchronized with the
problem solution. The only think I did is accepting all the updates from

Flashing the firmware of the DVD writer didnt change anything. Forcing

No, it didn't, but I think the solution is to avoid sata modules and use
"old" ata/ide modules. But I dont know if it will not slow down the

So if I follow you, my system keeps starting processes 2 or 3 hours
long, dozen of people have the same problem. And you just close... Ok,
fine. (because those freeze repeat for at least 2 or 3 hours after I
start the system). All that make the system unusable.
