I managed to solve the problem by installing the r8168 driver version
8.048.03 directly from the realtek website.

Yeah, same here, none of my buttons work. I have to remote in to

When I click "play" on the menu of the dvd, the movie starts
immediately, but with no sound. When I select one of the VOB files of
the movie, Totem plays it with sound.

Same problem, garbled screen with opengl apps, though I could mostly
restore proper image by quitting the app in question. I'm on 64bit dual
core AMD with HD 3650. Had to downgrade to 501.30 (8.4)
