I updated karmic through apt-get update and after apt-get upgrade and
dist-upgrade and now the volume control won't show on the taskbar.

Is it working on jaunty final release ? I suppose not because when I
launch the live cd the module mvsas doesn't exist.

worked until I launched upgrade-from-grub-legacy. Now when I reboot my
pc it say file not found ?

install grub on my harddisc. I have an adaptec 5405 sas / sata
controller with an sata drive on it. When I reboot the mbr isn't written
and grub doesn't boot.
