I think its always been a problem for me but I only recently decided to start taking an active part in the community. I went ahead and posted my alsa-info on the other bug, hoping that someone there may see some kind of relation in the two... or something. hopefully its an easy fix, just not enough

I appreciate you lookin out for that, but that is not the same issue Im having. when I plug my headphones in there is sound from both the headphones as well as speakers, I am not trying to use the microphone. should I start a new report since I do have different hardware/codec? -- You received th

I started experiencing this issue in 10.04LTS about two weeks prior to this post. manually installing fglrx worked the first time, then after another update happened again. I thought upgrading to 12.04 would help solve this problem, but good to see its been recognized -- You received this bug not
