Anyway, I installed the driver no problem and rebooted my computer to
find touchpad enabled. However, clicking isn't really working too well
and I have to click on something multiple times to get it to register.

Oneiric has been released and the bug is still there. I can't believe
this. Downloading the latest webkit package so I can actually get this
working.

I wish I still had a borked system to work through this bug but, when I
was dealing with the bug, re-installing the gjs and gobject-
introspection packages didn't fix it. Not sure about the new software
versions just pushed through the repository though.

Originally, my problem was a missing symbolic link that resulted in this
error when I tried to start Gnome Shell from the terminal:
