Yes we have to different problems. One is the boot problem, which is obvious
solved with kernel 24.
The other is the standby problem, that still exists with kernel 5.13.0-24.
Maybe there should be a new topic for the standby problem.

With Kernel 5.13.0-24 the computer hangs completely when in standby. I
had disconnect battery and restart. Standby modus doesn't work for me
with kernel 5.13.0-24. 5.13.0-22 still works perfect. It's not a
hardware problem.

I had the same problem with Kernel 5.8.0-41. All Kernel after that had
no LAN INternet.
I solved it today. As I installed two packages I dont know which one
solved the issue.
First I installed sudo apt install ntp ifupdown (a hint from a forum
regarding this issue)

I'm running Ubuntu Gnome 16.04, with gdm3. I do not have light-locker or
xscreensaver installed.
This happens almost every time that I fast switch to a different user.
Pushing the mouse to the upper left corner (which shows the Activities
Overview) and pressing Ctrl makes the cursor show up - ever
I guess packaging avr-libc 1.8.1 would fix the bug too. The device is listed in

thanks removing all nvidia related packages that had no other
dependencies attached helped. So also in my case the Virtual Box package
update seemed to have caused the damage. Though I didn't need to remove
the Virtual Box package.

The same here. After upgrade I can not run Unity any longer. Even the
fallback via llvm does only partly work since the menues (dash?) are not
loaded. So basically it's desktop background without any window manager.
I had to fall back to XFCE in order to get this working.

- deinstall LibreOffice as installed from the system
- download the original three packages (mainprogramm, desktop,

OK I think I could figure what is kind of causing the segfault at least
for me. It's the language environment I'm using.
Steps to reproduce:
~$ export LANG=nb_NO.UTF-8
~$ sudo gdb synaptic

So I played a bit more and unfortunately simply switching the theme away from
ambiance is not enough since although synaptic started at first it crashed
later on when applying changes and could not be started again even after
changing the themes again.

OK I got it working but only when switching to a Theme different from
"ambience". I got the idea from

Sylvestre, I was actually looking at the debian package first but the
debian bugtracker was kind of putting me off despite it being
inaccessible at the time. So I hoped that maybe one of the Debian
maintainers is also listening to the bugs reported here. I just tried to

OK, I've attached the current NEWS file of ipe 7.0.14 which impressively
shows the improvements and bugfixes over the up to now version 7.0.10
(which was already released about 17 month (!) ago). I hope this might
justify the simple synch to the current debian version.
