My 2c.
I know its painful that a bunch of stuff is broken - Im suffering from
problems with it at the moment (which is why Im here). However, every
now and then its good to shake things up and blow assumptions away -
short term pain for long term gain.

Ive had this happen quite a few times too (normally when making a call)
but didnt know/wait long enough to see it come back.
System locks solid, including mouse cursor, like you say. Next time Ill
wait.

Kubuntu Dapper 6.06 I believe. Is that LTS? :)
It works 90% for me, the only problem is no matter which mouse button I
select in the 'tapping' config it always gives middle mouse button.

I think this bug might be a duplicate, but yes I have the same
experience here (Kubuntu Dapper printing to an IPP printer).
Prints fine, but the job refuses to go away.

This is true, either we need to change rc0/6.d S??umountnfs to
K??umountnfs, or as I did, change /etc/init.d/umountnfs.sh to do the
same thing on both start and stop.
Ive just done this now, so I havent tested it, but someone please
CONFIRM this bug.

Looks like symlinks for umountnfs
ksynaptic claims it requires "synaptics driver version 0.14.4", however
dapper only has xserver-xorg-input-synaptics 0.14.3
Any chance of having this resolved? I hate not being able to disable my
touchpad (on a dell inspiron 9400) :)

This happens to me too (with ICH7 family chipset).
I also get weird headphone behaviour, where sometimes the headphones
refuse to work and sound comes out of the internal speakers no matter
what I do.
I suspect that the detection of headphones is somewhat broken, and
perhaps the 'no sound' proble

(SMP) on a Dell Inspiron 9400 (ipw3945), however I use (for the moment)
WEP.

just fine.
