Installing the driver via synaptic DOES NOT start the config of xorg, or give
any message that it should. Itself its not a problem, but when you have:
*removed the fully bloated preinstalled desktop enviroment
*xfix has skullbashed your x

Using xfix in restore modus leaves the computer unable to use xorg at
all.
This is what is suppose to happen: Xorg capabel of running with about no
3D acceleration, by dragging in vesa
increase its tempratur.
Running Ubuntu 9.04 with standard generic Ubuntu kernel. cpufreq as deamon to
regulare, with the autoload from cpufrqutils which should have made it work.

Hm, well due the Xorg's conflict with the propitary drivers i don't really
use em that much(also new install). Ubuntu 9.04.
