No I never got it to work.
I tried all the workarounds listed in various almost duplicate bugs to this
one, but I didn't get it to work.
I'm really hoping it will be fixed in 9.10 again. Has anyone tried this with
the beta yet?

I'm also on 64 bit Ubuntu 9.04 using synergy and having this problems in
java applications such as Eclipse and soapUI.
Would be really nice if this fix could be incorporated in the ubuntu
distro, if indeed the main synergy project is kind of dead.
