Yup, root owns the folder now why? I had to change from user to root
before so I am very sure that root owns the .mozilla folder.

Yup, root did own the .mozilla folder. Still no progress. I ended up
fresh reinstalling the whole system. Thanks for your help.

I am the only user and I did remove the folder in root using both
console and GUI. Still got the same error. Thanks.

I have the same exact problem but none of the solutions I tried worked
for me so far.
Tried removing .mozilla folder, uninstal and reinstall but nothing
works. Tried loading it from console and all I get is "bus error".
Any advise will be good for now. Thanks
