Public bug reported:
Grub 2 isn't detecting my external drive. I noticed if I run grub-
install with the correct parameters for --modules it seems to work. I
lost this setup and am trying to recreate it. This is on the latest
release (Plucky)
Here are pics of my external drive Https://ibb.co/LrGt
I'm having the issue on 20.04 Desktop. I have 2 nvme drives in a VROC
Raid 0 (HP Z6 G4), and the installer only shows 2 drives, not the raid
container. Fedora sees the raid array.
Ubuntu Server 20.04 sees the array and will use it, the desktop 20.04
does not.

Yeah - although everything I've read (since originally posting) on this
particular problem in relation to ATI cards suggests that the
Xinerama+Compiz functionality has never been available for ATI cards and
that the only solution for these cards is to use the alternative multi-
display mode. This w
On further investigation it appears that Xinerama does not play nice
with compiz. I was able to solve the issue with the ati box by:
-Opening Catalyst Control Panel
-Display Manager
-Multi-Display tab
-Set to "Multi-display desktop with display(s) 1"
It appears that you should be able to use NVID
Also: It appears this may be the same problem as bug #231697.

This bug is not limited to the nvidia drivers. I have the same issue
