Hi, I want to upgrade from 11.04 to 11.10. I think I have the same
issue. As I read, resolution of the problem is to install cups
1.5.0-8ubuntu3. How can I install cups 1.5.0-8ubuntu3 on 11.04 amd64? I
enabled natty-proposed but newest available version is cups
1.4.6-5ubuntu1.4. Thx in advance.

Binary package hint: update-manager
After upgrade from 10.04 to 10.10 network printer HP LaserJet 3052
started printing one page only with text:
" Unable to open the initial device, quitting."
Before upgrade it works as well.
There's cupsd debug log in attachement.
