After running the application from the terminal e.g. gedit myfile +12, on exit
it issues the following error message:

Public bug reported:
The Ubuntu installer from live USB goes through the entire process of
formatting the drive and then it fails on installing GRUB. I tried it 3 times
to be sure. I'm not sure how I could find more information like logs to post
here.
Before starting installation the following
