I made this automatic workaround for my firend with Lenovo S10. It's
based on altering eth with ethtool.
Place this script in
/etc/network/if-up.d/broadfix
Make it executable
sudo chmod +x /etc/network/if-up.d/broadfix
Restart

You may want to specify which eth you want to alter.
