Public bug reported:
On my machine, fish shell takes ~9ms to startup. With the flatpak
package installed, it takes ~21ms.
Timing with /bin/time (resolution 10ms):
~> exec sh
$ time -f '%es' /bin/fish -c exit
0.00s
$ sudo apt-get install flatpak -y >/dev/null
$ time -f '%es' /bin/fish -c exit
0.01
Same bug here. EFI+LVM with ubuntu.
One NVME/SSD. With one EFI partition and one LVM PV partition.
Within the LVM, one VG, with one / LV and one swap LV.
For now I workaround it with GRUB_RECORDFAIL_TIMEOUT=1.

For process the detection i have juste typed (in busybox hd-media) :
echo "ls /dev/sd*" > /bin/list-devices"
And no problem for installation.
I suggest to add the support to search ALL partition on ANY type of
device.
Best regards,
