Anoter issue is the gnome pannels display themselves on top of the
mplayer when mplayer is in full screen mode. I'm now sure this is a
gnome-pannel issue rather than an mplayer one.

joshua, during my experience with the latest ubuntu version, this
problem seems to have gone away (dont really know what happened in the
previous version).
my recomandation is to close this bug unless someone else dissagrees...

Darn...i didnt managed to install anything...the "funny" thing is...
I'm running a notebook on a dual boot system (ubuntu x32 and windows x64).
on my windows machine i have a vbox running ubuntu x32 (same install cd!).

Ok...problem...
commands like: apt-get install (app), apt-get update && apt-get upgrade
wont work. Updating synaptic lists wont update either. On the other hand
ping to google replies positive (so...i do have a net connection
working).
Cant get updates for ubuntu, for synapt
ubuntu 10.4 x86 bit os installed)...
To be mentioned that, i've managed to figure out WHEN this error occurs:
right after setting up dyndns client on the server... (at least that
when it happened to me). I'm guessing this is a dns problem? :-/
