Unfortunately, I do not have access to a Windows partition to boot on :(
Because of this, I don't know a way to update the Bios.
I hope someone else interested in this issue can try it and keep us
informed here.

Every time I suspend, the trackpad no longer works when resuming.

This happens frequently, after I unplug my monitor from my laptop.
I killed compiz and tried unity --replace.
But it doesn't fix the problem, compiz still takes between 30% and 40% of cpu,
constantly.
If I reboot the system, the problem disappears... until next time :)

Using xrandr on the command line does work:

The brightness keys (aka F1/F2) on my MacBook Pro 9,2 have been working with
12.04 and 12.10.
Now after the upgrade to 13.04, when I press them I see the brightness
notification, but the actual brightness of the screen doesn't change. It is
set to the max level when bootin
I realize this bug is old but I can confirm it's still happening to me (Ubuntu
12.10 running on a MacBook Pro).
Restarting pulseaudio (pulseaudio -k) fixes the issue... until the next time it
happens :)
A little annoying, but I guess it must be hard to fix do to the 'random' nature
of it...
