Hello, since i upgraded to Karmic Koala the suspend function in Ubuntu does
hang my machine
pm-suspend hangs my system badly and repeatable.

Hello, i seem to have a similar problem, but the trick with the locks didn't
solve the problem for me :(
in fact i did check before i issued the rm command and it didn't seem their
were locks so not a huge surprise.

i updated to the latest build from 10/22 no change bug still occurs with my
Dell XPS1530 / Nvidia 8600.
i thought it may be the Nvidia hardware drive, replaced it with the software
version ...no difference

this problem started occuring after i upgraded to the latest Kernel
module (since about 5 days)

in Karmic Koala, when using apt-get or synaptic, the installation of
Gnome-panel fails with a cyclic dependency.

yes, this is the same for me, i tried to remove all related instances,
(which only was possible with some limitations since it seems that the
dependency tree keeps on growing ...e.g. most of Gnome seems to be
