In GNOME 49, GNOME is making breaking changes that most likely affect the unity
session:

Assuming this was not a GNOME regression, if NVIDIA driver updates are
going to break libnvidia-egl-wayland1 then we should reconsider if we
want to continue shipping it as a standalone library as opposed to using
the blob from the nvidia driver package.

That might not have happened automatically; try restarting the service before

the first time.

Same issue on my ThinkPad 16s G2 AMD and Ubuntu 24.04.
