I have noticed that the Notification Area 2.24.1 is also affected by
this glitch.
After I changed to Glossy the glitch in the title bar and the mis-
rendering of the notification bar went away.

I'm using the 'nvidia_new' driver and it was installed from the restricted
driver manager. Over the last few days the problem has occurred several times.
I'm very willing to trade the shorter battery lifetime in return of a fix.
I just recently installed 'Bluefish' and it seems to be another sour

had to restart X to get rid of the blinks.

with Ubuntu. It works, but very slow and with no effects whatsoever. But

Looks like I have to install another distribution, while Ubuntu moves to
Hardy. Waiting another 3 months with these random freezes, just isn't
viable.
Besides these freezes (crashes), I have been a happy Ubuntu user.
