I am seeing the same issue on my I5-661 graphics. All compositing is disabled
- I am only using Metacity. I tried the mplayer test in #23 but see tearing
using both the "-vo gl2" and "-vo xv" options.
This is really annoying as I only upgraded to Natty (from Hardy) a couple of
days ago and eve
I am also seeing this issue. The mouse still moves around, but the
whole display ceases to redraw. Also just before this happens (when the
app first stars) the screen flickers for a few seconds in a really nasty
strobe-like way.
This crash can be recovered from by switching to a different virtua
@Renaud Do you have a link to the upstream package to test? I do not
know where to get it from / how to install it.

i guys you will not believe this, but I think I might have managed to
make this bug reproducible - an important step to getting it fixed.
So in figuring this out, I have produced the following in dmesg:
