I confirm this bug on freshly installed from scratch ubuntu 16.04 with
all updates on Dell Inspiron 5570 (0810). The device description

I have the same report: for unknown reason ntfs-3g crashed with same

I also have the same problem - gedit crashes. I started to run it from
terminal rather than using F2 and got the following:

Dual touchpad with the stick
I have installed the driver
I have Dell E6520 and my problems is the same:
- vertical scrolling works
- tap to click works.
BUT:
1.
the dual touchpad (i.e. touch pad AND the stick) are recognised as "ImPS/2
ALPS GlidePoint" and I can not change ANY of the touchpad-specific properties
(i.e. sensitivity).

I have Dell E6520, ubuntu 11.04, and I confirm the same problem with the
SD card. My previous laptop E5510 also had SD card, but as mentioned in
#9, it had different ID and no firewire, that is why the fix described
in #6 did work on E5510.
On E6520 I also have the O2 fireware controller and
I have the same on Dell 6520.
touchpad works to some extend, i.e. I can scroll (only vertically
though), tap to click works. But the stick and tocuhpad are recognised
as one device:
ImPS/2 ALPS GlidePoint
I have the same on my old laptop Dell E5510.
