Same here. I apparently crash also when I add clips and try to switch to
another software during the thumbs generation (not always reproducible).

I don't agree for several reasons,
1) If I have multiple users, they can't share music.
2) If I'm on a server, /var is (often) larger than /home so the music has a
better place here.
3) It's easier to just make a ln -s /var/lib/mpd/music ~/Music than the
opposite, simply cause /var/lib/mpd is no
