Sorry, the above confirmation of the bug may not be correct - I have
just found that even with that line commented, resume doesn't work
consistently (even though it did for the first time after I commented
it!), so the problem may in actuality be caused by something unrelated.

I have the same problem, on a completely different system - hibernation
worked automatically but for resume from suspend I needed to comment
that line too.
This is with a fresh Feisty install on a Toshiba M400, and my video
driver is i810.

Confirming the bug. This is very annoying... It happened for me after I
installed Automatix, I suspect it's perhaps something to do with the
automatic (rw) window partition mounts
