Hi Dan,
first of all thank you for your time!!!
I added the "nameserver 8.8.8.8" line to the
/etc/resolvconf/resolv.conf.d/head and it adds this line to the
/etc/resolv.conf file
I removed the 8.8.8.8 line, restarted the computer and I have internet.
$ ls -l /etc/resolv.conf

$ ls -l /etc/resolv.conf

$ cat /etc/resolv.conf

# DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE BY HAND -- YOUR CHANGES WILL BE OVERWRITTEN

do you need me to add any files to the report?

Public bug reported:
I upgraded my 16.04 to 18.04 before the official release. After the
upgrade I noticed that I don't have internet access. The wired network
and the wifi settings looked good, but the internet didn't work. After
the login the system always switched itself into airplane mode. I

Thanks Boris! The video was taken in 2012, but I experience these kind of
problems since the upgrade from 16.04 to 18.04.
I had 10.04, 12.04 and 16.04 before without these issues.
I experience more problems with the kernel 4.15.0-30 and it looks much
better with kernel 4.17.0-x. Some upgrades mak
since the last gstreamer update the situation is much worse than before,
so I removed the "kernel-fixed-upstream" tag.

Yes, this issue started after I upgraded my ubuntu from 16.04 to 18.04. I
didn't experience it with 16.04.
I also have a newly installed 18.04 on a very same notebook and that one is
also affected.
For the record: the youtube videos' lag issue was fixed weeks ago. I
just mentioned it, because I
