I just followed https://askubuntu.com/questions/311622/downgrading-iwlwifi
for Intel 7260 using -17 ucode. However, the rmmod iwldvm && rmmod iwlwifi
modprobe iwlwifi && modprobe iwldvm did not work as there is no iwldvm module .
Could this be the issue or is iwldvm replaced by something else? I

Firmware for Linux kernel drivers is what is reported by Synaptic package
manager. However, the issue is "chunk loading" -- is this a result of a the
firmware binary code values being put into place or is it application actually
putting the values in

I just updated in place (no new harddrive, no new partitions) from 20.04LTS to
22.04LTS. Everything worked except that there is a firmware loading diagnostic
(along with a separate failure to compile the VMWare kernel support -- but that
may be a VMWare issue, not Ubuntu).
