I can reproduce this problem. I have a fresh Oneiric install (two weeks
old). Logs in previous bug entry are obtained by apport-collect to this

I should have made clearer that the warnings with the stylus only show
up when there is actual contact with the screen. Just moving the
pointer by keeping the stylus a millimeter away from the screen works as
expected and without warnings, but as soon as I try to select (or draw
in xournal) there

additional udev rules (as a separate file 65-xorg-wacom.rules, not at the end
of 69-xserver-xorg-input-wacom.rules for some reason, I am not a udev expert).

I had the same problem. In my case, it seems that the cause was that
apparmor was blocking mysql. I had to run sudo aa-complain mysql before
I could finish the configuration. I do not remember ever enabling aa-
enforce for mysql (or for anything else, in fact).

With a single small modification the script of comment 15 works. It
seemed a tiny bit xfce/gnome(?)-specific and searched for a user
executing the process 'x-session-manager'. In kde(3.5) this does not
exist, but if you modify the script to search for the process 'X' then

The solution in comment #36 above works for me (one comment: ./autogen
should be ./autogen.sh).
Before: scroll wheel emulation works before suspend, but broken after suspend.
After: scroll wheel emulation still works after returning from suspend.

For thinkpads this is possible using the following sysfs nodes:
echo 40 > /sys/devices/platform/smapi/BAT0/start_charge_thresh
echo 70 > /sys/devices/platform/smapi/BAT0/stop_charge_thresh
