I'll just chime in, as I also notice a huge difference between kernel
4.1 and 4.2. On my Shuttle XS36V4 (Celeron J1900), running arch
completely up-to-date, I can hardly watch 15 minutes of video before it
all locks up. After reverting the kernel back to 4.1.6-1, the system is
quite stable again.
Hmm, a few months down the line, and the problem still persists. I read
here "fixed upstream", "fix released" but in my experience, nothing has
actually been fixed. Using Gutsy, fully updated, still, about 50% of the
times, the top panel remains visible when going to fullscreen. It never
happens wh
I had the same problem... The workaround proposed in the other thread
also left the top toolbar visible in my case.
However, when I moved the toolbar to the bottom (right-click toolbar -->
properties --> orientation), the problem was gone, even when I moved it
back to the top. Maybe this will work
