Yes, I know and I am using the open source radeon-driver (card is a readeon 9500 pro). Direct rendering works and 3D efects on KDE4.2 work, too (nevertheless I turned off the effects). So as I can see the bug is in X.org or the open source driver? -- Some games using 3D-acceleration don't work
